Seriously guys, once you've played a Music Man "WHY" would you even consider another brand???

I'm not just saying this to start a thread, or being overly "fan boy", I really don't care, I'm just being honestly serious! Is there anything that even compares to the feel of a Music Man guitar?? Even remotely?

I often say, when I go into a music shop to spend a hour or so on gear, if they don't have a Music Man to play, why even bother?

You all know as well as I do, there's nothing that comes close (well just one guitar, but it's somewhat in the family and they don't make em anymore anyway)!!!!

Keep building the gems BP!!:)

Variety is always good. EBMM are hands down my favorite (I still haven't seen a Morse yet) but as BP said, they created a niche to be intentionally different from the norm.

Sometimes a LP or Strat is fun to bang around with, and particularly useful if those sounds are the ones you seek. But my #1 and my heart always belongs to my 25th.

But as BP said so eloquently, choice is good.

i'm a true fan of music man guitars ...
but i'm a huge fan of my ES339 g...., i could not thinking playing without my axis but i could not thinking playing with my other guitars cause they're part of the sound of the bands in which i play...

for now , i'm waiting for a silo spec.. i'll make pics of it when i'll receive it ...
as i am concerned MM is the best brand guitar i've ever played but my 339 is one of the best guitars i've ever had too...

i think there's a lot of good brand every where and all we have our preferences... that's why that forum exists, to explain and discusse about our favorite Brand of guitars: music man....

I have a reputation, in certain circles, for being a Tele player. I have tried like crazy to stay there too. I love Telecasters; however, playing my Tele (2006 Am. Std) is like trying to drive a 60's muscle car, while playing my Morse is like a Ferrari that I can steer with my pinkie. My Albert Lee was the same way. Example - this past weekend, I was going to use my Telecaster in church. I was about 1/2 from home and something told me to go back and get the Morse. I did and I'm glad I did....

I think EBMM has a guitar for everybody. Whatever your preferred genre(s), there's a guitar available that will easily handle it. IMHO, one of the most difficult tones to achieve is a Telecaster bridge pickup tone. The AL does it perfectly; thanks, in part, to Seymour Duncan. The Axis MM90 also does it well. That said, my Morse also does it (with a change to the pickups, pots, and capacitor). Anyway, I'm glad to be a part of the family....

luv them!

i do have a gripe though.

going into guitar stores that don't carry Music Man takes the fun out of going.
I find myself just walking around trying to find something to entertain me just so I can be there.

I love EBMM guitars, they are wonderful...

BUT... I do have many other guitars that are also great, I play in many scenarios and sometimes those scenarios require different guitars, but my EBMM stuff is up there with the very best, some things work better for certain types of tones, I'm hoping that the Reflex will change a lot of things for me.:)

Yeah, I own "other" guitars too but I don't play them (save one), but here's the thing; and tell me if this isn't the truth!!

How many guitars have you played (or bought) that did NOT feel ok/good right away, however, everyone else owns one, and you said to yourself, ". . . well, once I get used to it it will be fine".

In other words you "settled" for something that perhaps you felt was the best out there, or until something better comes along.

Not with the EBMM - right from the get go is "love at first touch" - no need to get used to anything here baby!!!!
