This weekend I'm going to Guitar Center to pick up some strings, a new strap, hopefully strap locks, maybe a metronome, and hopefully some Ultex Jazz IIIs. I have some questions about changing strings on my JP6.
When I take strings off, what do I do? What is the proper way to put strings back on the guitar with the locking tuners? Should I take off all the strings at once or change them one at a time? Do you guys usually have to set the intonation again?
This may be a really stupid question, but is the action supposed to be consistent on the entire neck? It seems that the action gets a bit higher as you go further up the neck toward the body. How would I go about fixing this?
I'm thinking about trying some 9's on the guitar. Is the setup for this relatively easy? What exactly would I have to do other than re-setting the intonation? If it's too much I'll just stick with the 10's for now.
Any other things I should know?
Thanks!
