I'm looking to have piezo bridge, preferably with a tremelo, retro-fitted onto my seven string guitar. But I can't find one! Does Music Man make the bridge for the JP model, and how can I get my hands on one.

Well, in that case, does anyone have any other advice on 7 string piezos? I read in an interview with John Petrucci the other day that the piezo on his guitars are made by Fishman, but nowhere on Fishman's website or in any of their cataloges is a 7 string bridge.

Sadly AFAIK if you want seven string piezo you either grab a Petrucci (what I did) or dig up one of the older Ibanez. :)

But alas - that's not what I wanted to hear! I play a custom Carvin 727, and I perfer this guitar to guitars that cost many times the price. And besides, money's to tight to shell out another grand or more on another guitar, much as I'd like a JP guitar.

That's funny, I was faithful Carvin user for years, still have a pair. First I got into seven strings years ago and actually prefer them over sixes. Then, I discovered piezo when I got a Carvin with the Fishman system. So then I wanted both on one guitar and unfortunately Carvin doesn't offer them. So after researching I found out that it's Ernie or the older Ibanez stuff. Well, I tried out the Ernie stuff and the debate was over. I still like my Carvin stuff but I doubt they'll get much use. Having a seven string with piezo is bascially having my ideal guitar. :D
