Hey all,
I got the OK from the mighty cow god, bovinehost, to do this.

Tommyfrom delaware mentioned this in another post....I'm going to plug my radio show. Here's all the details. You are not required to listen, but I shall be honored if you choose to. Feedback is always welcome.

Title: Guitar Shop (featuring guitar and bass players who are virtuoso or who are accepted as playing to a certain standard.)
Radio station: KPSU, Portland, Oregon 1450 AM 983. FM
when: Wednesdays, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Pacific Time

To listen online:

www.kpsu.org - click on 'listen' - click on 'archives' and scroll down to any Wednesday listed. The file increments are broken out in hourly segments. So, you'll need to click on both 4:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. to listen to both hours.

NOTE: the last 2 Wednesdays, August 17th and 24th, the show didn't actually start until 4:15 p.m.

oh yeah, I forgot....

Sheesh. Can't believe I forgot this. Yes, I do have a website. It is in the throes of being updated. However, feel free to look around at www.guitarshopradio.com.

OK.

Plug officially finished.

Hey Koog,

you can listen on the archives (shows are archived for a certain amount of time) at www.kpsu.org......click on 'listen', and then when you get to that page, click on 'archives' and then pick any Wednesday you want to listen to (you'll have to click on either 4:00 and/or 5:00 p.m. on whatever Wednesday you choose.)

hope that helps.

Plus, I'm doing the show tomorrow, so you can listen in then if your schedule allows.

V.

Very cool..will link it on The Pit....you may want to delete the link to Bass Frontiers Magazine as it's sadly no longer around.

You're welcome! I was on the senior editorial staff of BF the last few years it was around and I was pretty bummed when Jim Hyatt closed up shop and just disappeared off the face of the earth with everybody's subscription money.

What a shame. I'm sorry to hear that. When did this happen, exactly?

Actually closer to 4 years ago now.

Damn. That stinks.

Hey, I checked out your Dude Pit Forum - holy smoke, it's a bass player's wet dream. Very well done, clever names for the various forums, and I think you just about covered it all!

I see you also deal in vintage gear - do you know the story behind James Jamerson's upright bass? Supposedly it was up for sale recently, and sold for a hefty sum. Was that on the up-and-up? If it really was the bass, I think it's a shame that JJ Jr. sold it.....you'd think they would want to keep it in the family and all that.
