I just got some great news. This June 10th and 11th is the Relay for Life here in our town. Today I just got conformation that we will be playing it and the way it looks, possibly be the lead act after the lighting of the luminaries. We will be playing for about an hour and a half and the Breast Cancer Awareness bass will be played the entire time. What is also cool is I have been asked to kind of share our families experience over everything we have been through this past year but when the people putting on the Relay for Life found out about the bass that was made they asked me to also share at the Relay for Life the story behind it's being built.

I am really excited for this event even more so now. Last year, prior to the Relay, we had a lot of unanswered question and an unknown future ahead of us. This year, so far, everything has been on the up and up. Every test Rochelle has received has been positive. She is through with chemotherapy and on the road to recovery. The only thing next will be finishing her Herceptin treatments and then re-construction surgery. I have no doubt though that the bass will touch a lot of people either battling through the same thing or that have battled through the same thing or know someone who is battling or has battled.

Thanks again BP for all that you and your company has done for my family! It truly is something we will never forget.

Very cool! I know your family has been through a huge amount this past year , but as testament to your faith and the kind of man you impress me as being, things seem to be going in a more positive direction . It is awesome to see. You are an inspiration in the way you keep finding good things in all of this and how that strength must help your family through this most difficult time. Go JayDawg!!! You Rock!!

Thanks guys I will definitely be sure to post pics and maybe even some video. The music we will be playing is Christian worship music. God has definitely been good to us. This past year we have met so many people who have been effected by cancer. It sucks but many doors to minister to these people have been opened. Now with just cancer patirnce only though. Orther people who are going through other illnesses or hard times too, the doors have also been opened for us to minister to them as well and share with them that we know what they are going through.

That's awesome man. Glad to hear that your wife is recovering well. My wife's mother was diagnosed this year with breast cancer and it's been really hard on both her and her father. But treatments have been going well, and their whole family is positive and supportive. I'm happy that you get to be a part of such a wonderful event and share your story to those that need to hear it.

Just found out the bass will have a little minnie debut before the official debut at the Relay for Life in June. On May 1st, a friends band will be coming through to Littleton, Colorado to play at one of the Calvary Chapel churches in South Denver. The band is called Apologetix. They are a Christian parody band. Basically, they took all sorts of songs from the 50's to modern day and put Christian lyrics with them. I talked to the lead singer when I found out they were coming through and for the concert, they are going to have me sit in with them on 1 or 2 songs. Their bass player Keith, may also play the Breast Cancer Awareness bass on some of the other songs too during the rest of the show. I might also bring one of the Bongo's for him to enjoy as well. Anyway, if anyone in the Denver area wants to check out the show, here is the info.9

Sun, May 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Calvary South Denver

9052 West Ken Caryl Ave.

Littleton, CO 80128

You can either buy tickets in advance on Apologetix web site, ApologetiX for $10.00 or at the door the night of the show for $15.00.

That is great that your wife is progressing so well! An added benefit that you will get to showcase that cool bass too. Congratulations!
