After buying a set of the new coated Slinky's out of curiosity (and to enter the Coated String Giveaway), my wife decided that submitting a "boring" picture of just my bass and the strings wasn't good enough.
She had this great idea that we'd pose our 5 year old sheltie (named Lexie) with the strings in her mouth, sitting next to the bass. Unfortuantely, as well trained as Lexie is, she was having no part in this plan.
I believe it was at this point that my wife decided I had been feeling far too good about myself lately, because she suggested that I switch roles with the dog so she could photoshop everything together. The result of this "great idea" is below.
I give Lexie credit for sitting up for long enough to take this picture. On the flip side, sometimes I regret ever teaching my wife how to use Photoshop.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like to lately since smashing my finger in a surprisingly aggressive game of air hockey, so I haven't had a chance to put the new coated Slinky's on yet. My 2-band 'Ray is very excited about trying them out, though.
