So I have had a Stingray bass for a few years and I love it dearly.
I replaced the battery in it about a week ago and now I am getting an intermittent short. It gives me this nasty buzzing noise out of my cabinet. It does not occur when I do not have a battery in. I have taken the battery out and put it back in and its ok for a while but comes back. A wire going to one of the pickups may have been pinched but I cant really see it from the battery box. Thought I would check before I take it apart. Any thoughts on this would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I'm pretty sure a wire just got pinched, thought I'd see if anyone else had this come up.

Well Ive been using it since my last post and it turns out all of this was caused by a bad (new) energizer battery. Gotta love those cheap fixes. Thanks guys.
