hey tone, here is a reply aimed more at the ladies looking in ... in a previous life, believe it or not, I managed a clothing store, one day a woman came in to try on a snug fitting suit, that seemed to accentuate her many curves, and she asked for my opinion ... "hey, mister manager ... does this make me look fat?" and while holding back the truth as best as possible without laughing, I was thinking 'no, ma'm, you looked fat before you tried that on!', and then I gave her my best closing reply ever, "no, dear, but since you asked, I'll give you my honest opinion .. I think what that suit needs to really work for you is a new pair of shoes" ... the suit was hers, and she went home happily to her husband and children to fix them what I'm sure was a wonderful dinner:)so, tone, a new BONGO would work fine for you with or without some new shoes, maybe it's time for an '08, LE in Sequoia Gold ... good luck and good hunting, and, welcome to here:cool::)hot fashion tip ... keep the clothes plain and in solid neutral shades and let the BONGO act as a fashion accessory and attract the eye's attention ... sfter that it's great tone will speak for itself and you'll be appreciated as much for your playing as for your handsome visuals :)

LOL^

Pzo, are you sure you're really not Clinton from What Not To Wear, masquerading as a Bongo player? :D :D :D

Anything black, especially Stealth, makes the BONGO look skinnier. While those are great colors, and I love the Stealth, if YOU want to look skinnier you need a flashier color. You want something that focuses attention on the rotundity of the Bongo, not yourself. While white would make it appear largest, it might be a bit much. Something nice in blue, CAR, Medallion Gold, Desert Gold, Radiance Red, etc. would work great. Even green, though those are harder to come by :D.

Trust me, the Bongo WON'T make your butt look fat and is a flattering accessory for all players.

Yes indeedy!

Dear Concerned.

Yes - go ahead! The overall effect on listeners and watchers will be that you will come over as a musical kind of love Bear!

I had too much maple syrup with my pancakes this morning so I will now go into the surreal idea of making a video featuring Grizzlies playing Bongos beside a river while catching Salmon; not so much Carpe Diem (as Beth would say) but Salmone Bongo!

(only available at certain restaurants at the end of the universe)

Louis :D

++1! The Bongo is a good fit.....stay away from the Pilot basses!

A little ot: The church I play at has a rather large pool of bass players; all of which use Lakland 5'rs. I like how the Bongo gets the thumbs up, over the Laklands;)
