If a floyd'ed guitar is your thing how can you go wrong at that price? It's a sweet looking guitar no doubt.

So far, I'm passing on it.
It's beautiful. Out of all the colours I've looked at, my son keeps saying I should get all black. It's very classy.

I do wish I could win it just to give the seller a bad review though. He hasn't even had the courtesy to return my emailed questions.

Anyways, this has been the biggest temptation yet, but I don't feel it's meant to be. I don't really want a floyd.

Thanks though guys! Knock yourselves out. I'd love to see one of you get this. It's a steal! :)

Fogman, I hate to see someone saying this. Just because your questions have gone unanswered doesn't mean the person deserves a bad review. There could be many reasons for his lack of response, for instance, you have not bid on the item. In short, you are a "lookie lou" and many sellers just don't have the time to respond to every one of the non bidders. He could be out of town, or simply too busy. It's really his choice, anyway. Feedback, or review as you call it, is reserved for winning bidders and should be used to report on the ENTIRE trading experience. For instance, so he didn't answer your questions, but you receive the guitar and it is like brand new? Does he still deserve a bad review? If the seller doesn't answer your questions, it's really a clear signal to be skeptical or to move along and find a better deal or seller that more fits your needs. You should buy, bid on, and win a guitar because you want the guitar and not just to give a bad review. There are alot of us that have incured the bad review for no sensible reason at all, and it is mean spirited and uncalled for in most cases. Please don't be like that. Thank you.

i agree with foggy on this, he still hasn't answered my questions either.

there is a certain degree of honest sailsmanship that, in my opinion, you must practice, which includes responding to the questions of would-be customers. when you don't represent yourself in this way, it does reflect negatively on you as a seller.

that being said, please, lets not turn this into an ebay arguement thread though, there are other places to discuss that

I'm with Foggy on this - if you're a salesman, you should be prepared to answer questions on your product. However, using your analogy if I went into a shop and asked a salesman about a product and was ignored I would walk away and find another shop to purchase from. (I'd also speak to the manager of the store to tell him about the bad customer service that I experienced}.
Looky Lou or not, Foggy is a prospective customer who out of courtesy deserves his questions answered. If you are a person selling on Ebay, expect to receive questions - otherwise give a better description of the product maybe?

I'm getting fed up lately with web sites (big ones at that) nodding towards providing customer service but when you try using it, the page is not available, the service is currently unavailable, or there are all kinds of technical problems. You may just as well blow in the wind.

If you are providing an e-Service then do it, and don't ignore the e-Customer.

Just that after getting to know Foggys sense of humour, you're written word sounds a bit harsh that's all.

I hope the seller responds to Foggy.

Needless to say, the CS I get with EB whether it be over the phone with their distributors or via the 'net is first rate - they don't just pretend - They roll their sleeves up and do it.

Sorry if I have gone "off course" with this thread.

I'm the last guy around who is mean spirited. People are always saying I'm too nice and that I get taken advantage of.

I tried to bid on it, but was blocked out because he didn't specifiy Canada. I tried to contact him to see if he would ship here. No reply. The next day Canada was sort of listed, but not specified. I tried to bid again, but was still blocked out. So then I try to contact him again to see if he could clearly specify Canada in the listing. No reply again. The next day the word Canada is totally pulled from the listing.
If we would have just replied to me, I would even have offered more money for any troubles standing at the post office for 1 extra minute would have caused.
So with that, I understand he may be a professional eBayer whereas I am not.
But with that kind of response, I don't want his guitar.
So no, I don't think I'm mean spirited.

I do have a very blunt and dry sense of humour. So everyone, please don't take me literally! :p

So back to the thread! Go ahead and buy that sucker! I to see more pics. :D

nowhere in it did I say YOU were mean spirited...

I responed to your statement... and the action you proposed...

I feel bad that the seller won't respond to you. I've been there before.

yea, i think we have all been there. and i know you didn'y say i am mean spirited, as i do not think you are either.

but, i think that we all can also agree that, when you make a listing on ebay, you accept certain responsibilities, some written and some not. when you do not fullfill those responsibilities, something adverse, such as negative feedback or termination, is to be expected. not to mention that you should always try and set a good example for your peers.

frankly, a little negative feedback, or at least a message telling him of his shortcoming, might do him as well as buyers some good. nothing mean in my thoughts, just what i see as common courtesy and good sense

My response was directed at you! I was just filling you guys in on the history of events. That's all. I probably shouldn't have used the words "mean spirited" in my thread. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
All is good! :)
