Hi, I own a Silo special Hss but I also like dual humbucker guitars.
Searching for an AL HH, five way switching looks very smart.
Are Silo and AL necks different?
No plan for a Silo HH with five way switching?

The AL might be very slightly bigger, but they are close. You would have zero trouble switching between the two necks

Another option would be a Silhouette. They come with dual hummers and a single thrown in for fun... Can also easily be configured as HH with a new pickguard.

I have a Silo Special and an older AL. The AL neck is just a bit deeper, front to back. The nut widths feel the same, and they play pretty close. Having said that, the Silo overall is more comfortable and lighter. Neither are asymmetrical, as far as I know. I've played an Axis, and the asymmetry is noticeable on those.

Music Man website: The Silhouette Special also features a comfortable "C' shape maple neck with 22 frets, and Axis: The Axis asymmetric hard rock maple neck allows for comfortable hand positions across all 22 frets....

Thx, I've seen the Standard HSH Silhouette: looks like it's got 24 frets.
I usually prefer 22 frets guitars; got to try one to see how it feels.

It's an asymmetric C shape - but go ahead and don't believe me.

I don't doubt you at all - I just had never heard of it referred that way. My Silo neck feels quite different than my Axis neck and I don't notice the asymmetric shape. That's all.
