1. Does JP use stock Silhouette Basses?
2. If not, what pickups are in there? What changes have been made to his?
3. How does one normally tune a Silo Bass?
4. Anyone ever play one?

so what do you want to know about this incredible guitar. I have mine tuned to e-e but i think jp has as b-b or a-a. And it plays like a dream.

This guitar is ernie balls response to the fendervi bass ..its about the same scale length and sounds quite similar. As far as I can tell nobody has an E-E version ...i had to have mine converted over and you can count these guitars on one possibly two hands...rare as F***.

seriously this instrument is so well made and easy to play ...and sounds nothing like a silhoutte 6 or a stingray....but its up there with them on all counts. My only request to Eb might be to put a trem on it just like the bass vi..that would really be something.

Silo basses rock! They are pure toys mixed with crack. I am scared to pick mine up 'cause if I do I know the rest of the day is gone.
There is a picture of it here

There are also pics in Bass Forum Moderator Dude's website

I'm curious about this so I'm getting a new one from Pete :)

Is the low A (6th string) on the Silo Bass the same octave as low A on a bass guitar (3rd string; open) or 1 octave higher (G string; 2nd fret)?
