Brilliant, I've always loved the look of those but have never been able to try one (or see one for that matter!)

What are they actually like? Sound/playability wise...probably immense but I'm very curious.

Soundwise...like a dark 50's Twin Peaks vibe, strings thru body plus series parallel switching adds to the ringing quality. Usual sihouette feel etc, unlike longscale bass strings are more bendy.

Although mine is bass tuning (E-e) it plays Ok thru a JC120 plus effects board (EBMM WAH & VolswellJr, Vibetrem, distortion)

I love the Silo Bass, and have one in Blue Dawn '07 LE. It's tuned A-a. I mostly play around with it, and only occasionally do I use it at gigs.

Position 4 in parallel is probably my favorite out of the 10 choices.

My BFR Rosewood vintage sunburst Silo Bass should be ready any week now. Can't wait.

Can you change the strings on these from A to A over to E to E and back with a truss rod adjustment or more to it ? Any thing physically different from the factory models strung E to E vs those strung A to A ?
