Hey all,

I just got my brand new EB MM Silhouette Special yesterday and I could not be happier. Such a great feeling, sounding, and looking guitar.

BUT...

What is all this talk about these BFR guitars with flamed and quilted tops? Are they producing any BFR versions of the Silhouette?

I am completely happy with my nice new Silhouette but I think I may now have to become a collector of EBs.

Please tell me you guys are producing a BFR Silhouette and tell me how I can order one! :)

[I'd love to buy a Silhouette Special with a flamed top and birdseye maple neck.]

Rob,

First off, welcome and that's a beautiful SS you've got there!

The 20th Anniversary Silhouettes are an unofficial BFR by most people's standards.
I'm looking forward to seeing what else they're be producing.

Rob,
Welcome to the forum! And what Foggy said. The 20th Anniversary Silo is considered by many to be the "first" BFR.

BP says it's the best guitar they have ever produced at EBMM, and I have to agree. It's a great looking guitar and an absolute tone monster.

You might try to track one down if you can. There weren't many made, maybe 360 or so?

Stick around, this is a cool place to hang.

First of all WELCOME,

Second NICE GUITAR,

And last but not least YES, BP said that they would be producing a BFR version of the Silo SP. It will probably be a little while but like anything that EB makes, it is worth the wait.:D

That guitar would be a perfect replacement for my Strat. Very nice!

That's for sure. I had a Stratocaster that I loved, but the Silo Spec plays better, feels better, looks better, and sounds a hell of a lot better. Although I had some sentimental attachment to my Strat, I still sold it to help pay for my Silo Spec..... I don't miss it all.

I have an AmDeluxe V-neck Strat. It's a great guitar with a great neck shape that I thought was custom fit for my hands. Then I discovered EBMM necks. I'm still not sure which one is my favorite, the JP6, Axis, Silo 20th, or Luke, but all those necks ruined my other guitars for me.

Beautiful Silo there Rob! If it had a matching headstock and rosewood board I'd be in Silo heaven! The abalone pickguard is a fantastic combination with the Carbon Blue pearl.

Hehe, thanks... I searched for this one with the all maple neck... there's something about look and feel of completely maple necks that I just love

UVA I deleted these. whoever told you that these were for public consumption after you rooted around in private areas was wrong.

Why did you post these? Do you think that if I thought they were suitable for presentation I would have posted them?

Isnt there enough content here?

GUys are burning midnight oil to put more locks on the doors here.

I feel seriously violated.

I think I know where the leak is. It's just that I'm a new mod so I don't know how to do what I think I need to do.
