i finally got my hands on a silo(hsh) , and for a pretty good price too
like the instrument, it feels realy good but i always feel like i could (should) get more out of it.
i think the pickups might not be good enough, the neck humbucker in particular(the single coil is alright though).
the thing is, im not certain what are the pickups because in the ebmm site it says they are dimarzio vpaf
but the seller told me they are paf pro (they look like..but im not an expert) and i think the older silos (mine is from 2001) were stocked with the paf pro (again, not sure about it).
anyway i would like to know if anyone has tried both sets and can say his opinion about the two.
and i would love to hear some recommendations about alternative sets or neck pickups.
