Good morning all!

Yesterday was a happy day! I found a Silhouette in Sapphire Black just hanging on the used wall at one of the Guitar Centers in my area. With the exception of a couple of small dings on the neck, it's in perfect shape. I was even happier when I looked at the tag and it stated that it came with the OHSC and in the case was the whammy bar, two more springs, a polish cloth, the rest of the DiMarzio clippy strap and an EB sticker! I couldn't be happier. I plan on posting another pic or two after I have some coffee, but I do have a quick question.

While wiping down and setting up this guitar, I noticed that there is no ground wire going to the trem spring claw. What gives?!?! Is there something going on under the pickguard that is acting as a ground? Is there a ground wire going to one of the bridge studs like in a Gibson?

Anyway, I'm not complaining because it's the quietest guitar I've ever played. But my inquisitive nature makes me wonder.

Thanks for any help y'all can give!!!

Silos kick major butt. Mine is a hardtail, so it might be different, but there is a wire going to the bridge, it's tied to the molex connector that belongs to the guitar, not the pickguard itself. I peeked under the hood once and took some pictures, hope it helps you:

Thanks to everyone for the kind and encouraging words. Rocket Ralf thanks for the pic it actually tells me a lot.

This is my fourth Music Man guitar, but the first one I really fell in love with. I only wish I didn't have to work today so I could play guitar all day.
