Hello Guys!
I am new to this forum.
I am Japanese. I hope you can understand my English...

I have a couple of questions about Silhouette.
1. What year did they change from 6bolt to 5bolt neck joint?
2. What year did they change neck finish? I have seen an early Silhouette
with gloss finish neck. That guitar has 6bolt.
3. What year did they stop using poplar for solid color body and started using
alder?

Does anyone know?

Wow... Did they ever use poplar??? I know poplar is used for the Morse, but Silo? They used to offer ash, but I thought it had always been alder?

Wow! Nice collection of Shilhouette, NorM!
My translucent white('94) is ash.

My Friend has a very early Model which has poplar body, 6bolt neck joint,
gloss finished(not gun oil finish) neck and Schaller locking tremolo & pickups.

By the way, Where do you put a battery for EMG pickups NorM?
Did you need make an extra space? or Did it fit under pickguard without
any modifications?

The battery hides under the pickguard under the tone pot.
I would really like to see a picture of your trans white. I don't think I have ever seen one before.

I don't have my Silhouette with me now.
I have lent my Silhouette to my friend. I guess it's in his home studio.....
So, this is the only picture I have now.
In the picture, it looks solid white but actual color is more like blonde.
Originally it came with tortoise shell pickguard and H-S-H pickups.
Now I mounted black pickguard and S-S-S pickups.
The bridge pickup is a Telecaster pickup like Albert Lee did with his Silhouette.
