- Does anyone make a replacement pickguard for them?

- Is the bridge HB direct mounted (like the Axis)?

Thanks!

Chandler makes them for EB. The pickups are mounted to the guard, not the body.

I built a replacement for a sil special and set it up with Bill Lawrence pickups. Worked like a charm and now I move it from guitar to guitar so I don't have to mess up the original EBMM wiring.

those lawrence pickups are pretty deep. I put one in my axis and had to slightly route underneath it so the wiring woulden't obstruct the pickup. since the shilouette mounts the pickups to the pickguard, was that a concern for you?

To be honest, I hadn't noticed - so no, they fit fine (sound killer, and are actually less noisy than the single coils + the silent circuits I've used).

One thing with the Lawrences is that they have a very low magnetic field - lower than most pickups. Accordingly, the ideal height of these pickups from the string is about the space of 1-2 nickels - a smaller gap than most - and so they end up taking up less space in the body route.

EMG's work good in a Silo too. Only a little alterating to the guard to make the pups fit. Then the smallest bit of routing for the 89's push / pull knob were necessary. With that this thread will end.

Thanks for the name change Darrell. You rule!

You guys don't know this, but our beloved Andy (aka admin) is leaving us. Friday will be his last day, and I for one, want to wish him all the best in his new career (as a male prostitute)

Our new admin is Aaron. I have met him, and he is a good guy, and he is not, as far as I know, a male prostitute.

I just wanted you guys to know about Andy leaving. I for one will miss him. Maybe y'all can add to this, and let him know that he will be missed.

The fact that Keith will miss Andy, AND the fact that Andy is going on to become a male prostitute, are in no way connected.

Okay. Yes they are.

How come Andy hasn't called me yet. All I do is sit and wait and eat bon bons and watch lifetime. They have the greatest original movies that make me long for Andy.

OOH Andy.

I have cash this time and you can go whenever you want. But please... just call me. :(

I have a fever. Only I can't decide whether the cure is more Andy....
