Here's another improvised song.
(It's an example of some tones from my stock Silhouette Special, recorded from the guitar directly into my PC. I used a free software recording program called Audacity and plugged the guitar into the mic jack (via a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter) on the back of my computer. No effects, no amps, etc. Just pure straight-up Silo Special tones directly from the guitar.)
Hopefully this song illustrates some of the versatile tones you can get from tweaking the tone control on these great Ernie Ball Music Man guitars. Messin' with the tone knob can lead to some really organic "throaty" type tones, at times almost electric piano or organ kinda sounds that rival a nice jazz box timbre.
The rhythm track is the neck pick-up (position 5 on the selector switch) and the lead is position 1 on the switch. On both parts the tone knob is rolled back a bit.
