OK.So what dimarzio pickups does my stock silsp come with..[or come close to]..I know they*re *custom wound*for EBMM.This pickup replacement is interesting,but Pandora*s box is getting into the picture.

For me it was just playing an S/S/S Silhouette Stock through a really good Amp. I played one through a LE Handwired AC30 Vox and it blew me away. I loved the tone in all the positions.

Lionel, the 67 sounds cool too but I think I need a bit more output to match the air zone in the bridge...I love that pickup!

Considering Joe Satriani used a Chopper/Chopper/Protrack on his Experience Hendrix Tour prototype, I'm actually considering running a Chopper/Cruiser (or FT1)/Protrack combo. I'm already halfway there anyways.

However, if you're a stickler to real single coil tone, then playing a cruiser side by side with another strat player will bug you to no end. That mushy low end (which I like) will set you apart. That's one of the key reasons why I went with the blade design from DiMarzio. It delivers extremely convincing in-between tones, but at the same time, offers something very different when used by itself.

And paired with a pro-track or any other full sized humbucker, the Neck + Bridge tone on the Silo Spec is an absolute killer. No need for Strats, no need for Les Pauls. This ONE guitar does everything.

And where this one ends, the JPX begins.

I believe tha closest DiMarzio branded would be the Blue Velvet singles coupled with a Virtual Paf.
