Question Silhouette special

Hey all,

I really want to put a set of Lukather EMG's in my Silhouette special (H S S) but will they fit in without routing? I ask because I noticed that the Lukes body is a little thicker than the Silo spec... I thought maybe that's because of the pickups?

A shop near me has this with emg's. I think it's a 95 Silhouette (22 fret, but no special in the name). These were replaced by the owner.

FWIW, the Music Man website says the Luke and Silo Special bodies are the same thickness (1-3/4", 4.5 cm). How deep the routings are I don't know but looking at the EMG and DiMarzio websites, the pickups are all very close in overall dimension.

I've seen a few silos with EMGs in them and I don't think there were any major changes that had to be done. Is there a reason why you're putting in the EMGs? The cruiser and AT1 sound amazing in the guitar.
