I changed the pickguard on my Silo last night, black on black to abalone on black. Looks great, but when I took everything off I found the tone control is a push / pull.
Is this standard and if so what does it do ? Coil tap maybe ? I'm wondering if it has been retro fitted as the wiring doesn't look all that 'pro'. I pulled off a couple of wires when twisting the knob to fit it back in the cavity and had trouble identifying where one came off if anyone knows. The white sheathed one off the top of the pickup selector ? Not had the chance to restring it and plug it in yet.

Cheers

I think Ive indentified your problem. Its known as the "Albert Curse". Because your AL isnt currently being played it has quite rightly become enraged with jealousy and sabotaged your Silo so you'll give up on it and pick the AL back up. Never underestimate the voodoo qualities within the AL. Beware.

Good answer Rob.....I have formulated a strict rota so all my Balls get to gig regularly. I always take two so none are ever left at home for too long.:D They are all so frigging versatile it doesn't matter which one I use. Albert still my fave though.

Damn, I've been favouring my Albert lately- it's getting all the love. Now I'm scared for the others.

Seriously ... the push/pull isn't stock, somebody has wired it up. It could be wired to do a few things. Most likely a coil split. Or perhaps an "add bridge to whatever's selected on the lever" toggle, etc.
