Silhouette

Bought a Fender Strat with HH configuration. Then purchased Lindy Fralin BIg single and P-92......But one night a Guitar Center I found my Musicman Silhouette and the Fender was history. I sold the Fender on Ebay and have the Lindy's. I'm going to install them on the musicman. Has anyone put either one of these pickups on the Silhouette? I may just be putting them on because I have them and cost me money.

Do you like the Silhouette stock? Cuz I was very much planning the replace my Silhouette special pups with my preferred Area 58s, but the stock sound so good I'm over a year in and still very satisfied. Thoughts?

I have the Silo Special HSS and that humbucker is awesome. Those are the discontinued DiMarzio Vintage PAF pickups and I recently saw that there is a petition online asking the company to reissue them. If that's not a vote of confidence, I don't know what is!

Virtual PAF (DP197). And yes, they were pretty darn good.

They were discontinued in favour of the 36th Anniversary PAFs, which many people say are better. I've never heard a side by side comparo though.

Do you know, Kevin, was the Virtual PAF in the 20th Anniv. Silo HH? And is the 36th Anniv PAF what was in the Reflex?

Reflex has the Axis pickups (DiMarzio say Tone Zone for bridge and and Air Norton for the neck are closest match available to public).

20th Anniversary Silhouette had custom DiMarzios, closest production match was (according to one old thread I found) Virtual Hot PAF in the Bridge and Virtual PAF in the neck.
