I was at my local GC last night....I'm getting the hankering to add a MM back into the harem..really missed having one. But I have some issues.

JP: LOVED the tone. Great guitar, but neck shape/radius painful for my hand.
Axis: Awesome as always, could be a bit bigger...but sweet.
Luke: Love the tones, necks just too small for me, why I sold mine.
20th Silo: Great neck, cool tones...no trem or I may have just done it.

So my question...Silo special...whats the neck like (normally, I know there's always some variation) compared to these as far as shape and thickness?

By comparison, my favorite necks I currently own are PRS Custom 24 regular neck, and Fender 52 tele.

Thanks for your help! Been so many years since I played a silo special. I was always hot for other models before.

If you like the Axis but wish for it to be bigger, check out the 25th Anniversary - It has a slightly bigger body shaped like the Axis but with a forearm contour, you can get it with a tremolo, and it has a Silo/Special neck profile with a slightly flatter 12" radius.

Thanks pete. I'm actually looking at the Silo Special for two reasons, one to cover single coil strat-esque tones. So I'm leaning more that direction, and I have a bunch of 2 buckered guitars. The 25th sure looks/sounds awesome on the youtubes I've seen.

Is the Silo/Special neck a bit bigger than the axis neck? I searched but couldnt find a nut depth. IE. .825 or whatever it might be.

Yeah I just read through that. Looks like It may be close enough to the axis I'll be allright.
