Is the neck of a 20th Anniv silo the same as the silo? There is a shop that has a 20th and I'd like to see if the neck will work for me before I consider ordering a standard Silo.

Thanks!

The specs on EBMM site are the same except for the 2 extra frets on the 20th. I just looked at mine and I can't see any appreciable difference.

The Silhouette has 24 frets. So does the 20th Anniversary Silhouette. The Silhouette Special has 22 frets.

What's the configuration of the 20th Anniv. Silo at that store?

Rob,

I've thought long and hard about this......I'll sell you my 20th Hardtail Piezo....

The only caveat to that is it stays at my house. You can play it anytime you want when you come to Florida though.... sounds like a great deal to me ;)

Gee, Doug. Thanks for thinking of me, man! That's so cool of you. I'll have to think about that one. Let me sleep on it. ;)

Actually, I didn't count the frets, but they had one rosewood board and one maple board. Since I'm considering the Silo instead of the special, it would be the 24 fretter anyway.

I was wondering if the neck carve, radius, and finish were the same. I want to make sure the overall neck works out for me. :)

Thanks for the replies!

Actually, what I mean is the following:

Is the fretboard maple? Rosewood?

Is the top quilt? Flame?

Is the bridge a hardtail or trem?

Piezo or no piezo?

Jim, even same models will have slightly different feeling necks, though the radius and shape is basically the same.

No it's not. The key differences are that for the 20th, they actually inject mojo into the truss rod cavity, to fill up the space between the wood an the rod. Sort of like a liquid filler. For the standard silo, the mojo is used for the inlays...:p

Actually, what I mean is the following:

Is the fretboard maple? Rosewood?

One was Maple, the other Rosewood. I tried the Rosewood, Played really nice!

Is the top quilt? Flame?

The maple was flamed, rosewood was quilted.

Is the bridge a hardtail or trem?

The maple flamed had a trem, the other was a hardtail.

Piezo or no piezo?

Both were without a piezo.

I found the guitar nicely made and comfortable to play. Hope to order one (a standard silo, 24 fret) soon!:)

Now, what color and pick guard...?
