I'm looking for a new guitar and am torn between these three models.I bought a new jp last year and love it but want to cover a little more ground as far as diversity.Any thoughts?

well, they will all cover a lot of ground... yes, even the Axis which I find can do a lot more then people expect. The reflex has the most sounds, the Super Sport is great (Axis tone with split coils) but a little mellower then the standard Axis. The Silhouette is like an upgrade to the Strat (Silo or Silo Spec)... it really depends on what you play... but at some point you will end up with them all...
What about the HH AL??? I continue to be impressed with mine every time I plug it in and play it. Easily my most versatile guitar even though the Axis Sport has the same pick up config. The all Rosewood neck adds another dimension to the sound...

What kind of diversity are you looking for? What kinds of music do you play?
The JP is a damn good start.
Next I would say the Reflex. It's a tonal monster. It'll give you all that the Axis can do plus some.
The Silo Special is great as well.

They're all different guitars- necks feel different, etc. Probably worth playing them all and seeing what you bond with.
As an aside, if you've got something with dual humbuckers, a nice change is to have something with singles or MM90s. Don't rule out the Albert Lee SSS or MM90.

Reflex or 25th model (if you can still get one) is as versatile as you can get.

Yeah, a Reflex or a 25th for me as well.

silo,axis ss or reflex
I was leaning to the reflex anyway but would like a little info on the necks on all of them.Is the Reflex neck finished?Which neck is closest to the jp?Is tha axis neck thick like a Les Paul?I live in wyoming so I don't have any big music stores close enough to walk in and demo guitars.I am very impressed with my first Ball though.

None of the other guitars have a neck like the JP. The silhouette special and the reflex/25th have the same neck profile. All of them are unfinished unless you get the roasted neck which is a limited option this year. The Silo Special/ reflex/ 25th neck profile is very comfortable...its not too thick and not too thin...just right I think. The Axis neck is a bit chunkier, but still comfortable. One thing to consider is that the Axiss SS has no countours, so that might throw you off between switching from the JP especially since that one has pretty extreme contours for comfort. I personally dont feel comfortable with the Axis and SS version as it is small on my body and no contours...the Y2D Steve Morse model is another story...perfect guitar for me .

Thanks for the info.Now, I just need to decide which way to go.The reflex looks like a solid choice but I am not thrilled with the colors.The sillhouette would do fine also but i am not finding much for a hardtail version as they are out of stock at G.C. and musicians friend.

Well, there are some limited/special colors for the Reflex at Guitar Center. They have some Trans Black and a few Trans Blues available... if interested let us know and we can point you in the right direction.

The reflex/25th anniversary will have the most tones available. They are great guitars.
The GC in Cherry Hill, NJ had a trans blue reflex. It was close to aqua in color. Don't know if they still have it or not, though.

ya, i havent been able to put my 25th down all day. I love the 25th/reflex
but really, IMO, you gotta play em and see which neck is comfortable to you cuz they're all pretty different.
I love the 25th - but if you want some serious diversity you should take a look at a morse too

I'd say the Reflex is the most diverse. I played one at length recently and fell in love with the sounds that machine could produce. I also love the look of the Reflex. For me personally, the Silhouette is way more comfortable. I discovered that the lack of a "softer" bend radius for the edge of the top on the Reflex hurts my forearm...but I'm a wimp. I haven't heard anyone else make this complaint.
