Silo bridge pickup question

Just received my Silo Special (HSS). Love the guitar but would like the bridge humbucker to have a little more brightness to it. I guess what I'm looking for is a humbucker that retains the output and thickness for overdrive but with a little bit of single coil sparkle when playing clean if that makes any sense. Any replacement pickups out there that would fit this description? Thanks.

I like duncans, for this week at least and I have a distortion trembucker in the bridge of my silo special, the pup is high output and the guitar is overall bright with the pup but I have heard the JB is a bit brighter and lower output with some nice growl, you should go to the duncan forums or even call dimarzio and tell them you have a strat basically and see what everyone suggests there - russ

I guess I should ask what type of pickups are in my Silo Special? I just purchased it couple of weeks ago brand new.

Hey, they are custom wounded dimarzios as far as I know, and for some people bridge pickup isn't too hot. I hope somebody who had the same problem will help ya out...

Hmm I've read several times that the bridge hum in Silo special is very bright anyway, maybe you have to tweak your amp a little bit?

The Silo Special I had was definitely not too bright in the bridge position. It was a PAF Pro in there, sounded good. I could see someone wanting a little more highs tho.

you probably right, but I suppose they didn't put in the Paf Pro in the Silo Spec. EBMM website says it is a custom wound dimarzio pickup, but it's just a detail

God bless,

Philip
