I recently took the pick-guard off my silo special and it's mint green and notice by the pickup cut outs that some of the paint is missing and looks like a darker color underneath... would this be normal?

Color has been verified by CS to be original just was curious to the missing color... possibly a moot point since i absolutely love this guitar.

Hard to tell do you have any picture?

The silo spec are all routed for hss, this might be just a shielding layer in pups cavity.

i'll open it back up...

this is the limited run with the Mint Green finish and classic tinted neck... not not sure if this is standard HSS routing... although why change a CNC program for just a few guitars...

it was along the edge of the route...

Once again i'm not complaining at all... was just curious...
not to compare... nor am i saying this happened... cause i highly doubt it...

Fender when they did a few of the sea foam greens back originally i've seen where they took standard burst guitars and did an over spray on them... so when they aged and started to chip the burst began to show through... probably something they never intended but kind of a cool surprise if you had one...

Once again no complaints - was just curious as to what it was... late night ramble if you will LOL

I'm with David, might just be a shielding of some kind. I'm sure your Silo is 100% fine, assuming the darker color is only in the cavity.

im 100,000,000,000,000,000% satisfied with my EBMM guitars... only guitars i'll play other than my tele clone which i built... but even that stays in the case 98% of the time... LOL

So it's probably a moot point but was just curious and more than likely shielding anyway...
