Does anyone have the specs for proper string height, relief, and pickup height. This guitar is a HSH config.

I picked up a White Silo in great physical condition (no dents or scratches), but the setup was bad. Strings were a mile high, huge amount of neck bow and the pu's were barely above the pickguard. I know the past owner changed the pu's, but replaced the originals when he sold it, but just a bad overall setup.

When I adjusted the truss and string height, I couldn't get the buzz out of the strings...does this neck need more relief?

Also, there is a huge volume difference betwee the hums and single..is this normal

Any help would be appreciated

So to recap, it's got the stock originals in it? If so, Jon can probably shoot you out the factory heights for them when he tunes in. It's subjective, though- you should feel free to change these to suit your taste.

There will be a volume drop from the HB to the singles (they have less output), but you can make up for this by raising the height of your single if you like. Don't put it too close to the strings- you'll get "stratitus", ghosted overtones on your notes and the pickup won't sound "bell like" when it's too close.

I usually ajust the neck pickup to where I like the sound (with a clean amp setting), then adjust the others to match in volume so the sounds are balanced. Usually works best if you start with the weakest pickup.
