I owned this lovely 2010 lefty SR5 for a few years and then foolishly traded it away last year. She came back to me in another trade deal this weekend and I decided to replace the Black Pearl guard with a new factory Torte one I had on hand. My wife thinks its a hideous color combo but I like it! Love to hear some opinions. :)

I think it's incredibly appealing!!!
PG look like an extension of the fretboard in a cool way.

I'll give that a "NICE!!!"

Thanks mtrejo, I agree the torte seems to blend with the rosewood nicely!

My first thoughts was this was going to suck, but since I have a Silver Bongo I had to check it out.

Actually its really cool. White goes with tort, why not silver?

Thanks guys. I like it more and more. The Black Pearl with Silver was indeed a bit "modern" for my tastes. I usually go for the transparent finishes if at all possible but the silver looks great and has quite a bit of sparkle to it in the right light. The EBMM torte is indeed a nice shade. I have torte on my True Gold Bongo and its just killer. I have some extra lefty pick guards in various colors if anyone is looking for something.

I like it too. When it comes to guitars/basses, tort is like black...goes with just about everything.
