Where I live, I do not have direct access to very many EBMM guitars to try to see which I'd prefer. There is a local dealer, but they only get a few EBMMs a year. There usually aren't any in stock.
I'd have to drive a number of hours to the next closest dealer.

Now I know OLPs are not in the same ball game as EB. However are they similar enough that I could get an idea of neck radius, width, etc..?
These guitars are what helped me find the EB brand!

So what do you think?

I think it's pretty tough to estimate what you think a guitar will be like. And the OLPs aren't really EBs- the necks are totally different.

I've gotten over the hurdle by buying/selling them used. This way I get to try a bunch and don't really lose cash on each purchase. But a rather difficult way to get through the EB guitars :p

If you can nail it down to a few you want to try, I'd really suggest driving to find a dealer somewhere, or a fellow EB board member that has some handy.

Where are you located exactly?

I'm near Windsor.
I'm actually going to Mississauga next week. I'll try to hit a few shops.

Hey- cool!

I'm in mid-town Toronto. You're more than welcome to come by and try out an Axis Super Sport, a Luke and a Morse (with the lacquered neck, though) if you like. :D

I'll let you know as the plans develop a little further.
I'll be there next Saturday for sure. Maybe Friday too.

When I first came to this forum, I was very surprised by the number of canucks here. ;)
Maybe EB should move their facilities here?

Thanks guys.
I actually tried some OLPs tonight. I like them compared to a lot of other guitars, but I know that there's no way they're even close to the EBMMs.
I always thought they were mass produced versions made in China or something, but I realize they are only licensed to have similar head stock designs and not the entire guitar.
I will be travelling far and wide for my quest! ;)
