Sitting on a train ! On the way to my next gig, a dep for a band in Dublin all I have is my stingray 5 and a lead. They have a backline there for me a trace elliot rig I think but it really doesn't matter because the confidence I have is all down to my bass I know no matter what amp they have weather it's a pigeon loft or a stellar rig my bass will be my bass my sound will will still be me.

I do love this amazing bass !

Well spoken! Couldn't agree more. Regardless of the rig, I know my MM is going to back me up! Best of luck with the gig!

Dude your tone is great.... Wow that bass sounds so clear .... How do you get such a fat sound and still here all the notes perfectly.
Yeah thats what I got from the guys all night.
It was a wedding gig with most of the standard wedding songs, a few I didn't know that I jammed along to. But the bass did most of the work as long as I can here myself I am fine and the sr5 has no bother there. A guitar player showed me the ropes many years ago and he thought me to learn to sing a song cause if you can sing it you will be able to play it no matter what key it's in. Works for me anyway

Btw I was really impressed with the trace rig, a 1x15 combo with an 1x15 ext cab. It was loud clear and very warm. Mind you it would break your back lifting it ;-)

All the snow is finally gone thanks man, we are so not set up for that much snow ! In 5 days the temp went from -17 to +7 ... nuts

And yeah dude it would be my blue dawn sr5, the best bass in the world bar none !

Cheers guys off to be now

Great! And nice to see how sometimes the simple well known things works best. :D

Oh, and about that sing-a-song-so-you-can-play-it phenomenon.... I've experience something similar myself, being able to play a line when I can sing it. isn't it funny how the brain works?
