Are skinny top heavy bottom strings too thick to be used on the Axis Floyd System or should I just stick with regular slinkies. I want to change string guages so I can better pinch harmonics on the lower strings, but im not using them for detuning or metal or anything

I haven't used them, but I tried the Hybrid set for a while they worked ok for doing drop d tuning and things like that. The skinny top heavy bottom shouldn't be a problem in any technical sense, but you might have to make some adjustments to your claw springs, possibly your truss rod.

Actually, I just this last week went through this dilemma, should I install the Heavy/Skinny's on my Floyd equipped axe (it's a Peavey Wolfie). I went ahead and did it, and i'm happy to say that it all worked out great. I did add an extra trem spring to compensate for the additional string tension, but other than that, no changes were needed. The intonation was fine, and I did'nt need to mess with my truss rod either. Plus, the D-Tuna works better, the heavier low E keeps things from going 'wimpy floppy" when I switch to drop-D mode. I'm certainly happy with these strings, and intend to keep em as my strings of chioce for a while.
