The sad thing is that anyone who is duped by these is probably buying the guitar as a gift (I would hope people shopping for themselves know better) and thinking they got a really nice deal on a great present for someone they love. It's a really low thing to do.
Yeah. I posted the same one on the ebay thread last night, except at that point it was listed as a "vintage" Music Man. Sad thing is, this guy's not even trying to hide what it is. At least the last guy removed the OLP from the headstock.
.....I wonder if BP ever regrets licensing the designs to OLP. I'd like to think that in the long run it has increased sales for EB, but stuff like this just bugs me...

At least for some people, I think the OLP was like a gateway drug.
I do think it is a little confusing for people who aren't familiar, though. When I started looking at OLP's, I actually thought they were the EBMM version of the Squier or Epiphone, and that's how at least one salesman presented them to me. After playing the real thing, of course, I know better.
Still, I think it's probably a good thing in the long run. The OLP, at least the one I had, was really well made for a budget guitar. Not everyone has $1,500 to spend on a guitar, and I think it probably generates interest in the real deal.
