Finally found some cobalt love. I tried the normal cobalt rounds and could not warm up to the sound of them with my Bongo. I just slapped on a set of Cobalt Flats and I really like the tone. Much more mids compared to the Infeld I had on them. Now my Bongo is back to wearing EBMM :)

Yes, I am still really enjoying it. I would say flats on the Bongo may not be everyones thing but you should give it a try.

Maybe its because of the the Bongo's wide frequency response, or maybe its BigPoppa's toenail clippings after all... for whatever reason, flats don't sound as flat on the Bongo as they do on other basses.

Just swapped out the Cobalt RWs for Cobalt Flats
on my EBMM S.U.B. Sterling. Amazing rich-toned
flats. Never heard anything like them. Yeah sure,
it's true that audiences never notice, but hey, we
gotta play for them so we gotta make US happy !
