I understand the "SLO" Neck Option is basically a Sterling neck on a Stingray body..............Was that a limited run, or an on-going option? I have seen a few of them (in pictures), but did not know if you can now order any Stingray with the "SLO" necks? I don't mind the Stingray neck, but it would be cool to have one with the Sterling profile!

BTW: What does "SLO" stand for San Lius Obispo, Sterling Limited Option, or something else????

It's a regular option, not limited.

SLO, for most of us, means San Luis Obispo....but we could go ahead and make some stuff up.

A related question.
Where are the string spacing measurements as listed on the Musicman website made?
My understanding is that the same bridge is used on Stingrays and Sterlings yet the string spacing is 3/4" and 11/16" respectively. So where is that measured?
Thanks...

Or the obvious................

"Super Lust Option" = Another reason to order a Stingray! :D

Next will be the "OLS" Neck Option - Stingray neck on a Sterling..............;)

(I didn’t notice measurements on the EBMM site but the measurements I took were close to these) I assume their measurements are at the bridge string to string. The sterling is 11/16 and the Ray 12/16 (3/4) …the SLO has a Ray bridge giving it the 3/4 string to string spacing.

…someone from EBMM please chime in if I’m incorrect.

Thanks

I finally got to play an SR4 SLO yesterday. I was killing time downtown Seattle, so I stopped in GC and played everything on the wall, musta been 14-15 MM's. Anyway, as soon as I plucked a few notes on the GC anniversary special SR4HH, I noticed it had the SLO neck and an ebony fretboard...this was one spectacular bass! I don't know what it was about that bass, but it stood head and shoulders above any other in the store, the neck was absolute dreamy to play I kept going back to it.
