I love the into bass line into this song. I play it in G but I am still not satisfied with the sound that I get. I am getting close but not enough to make me happy. I play a SR5HH through an SWR WorkingPro 1x15 200w and have thrown a Zoom B2.1u and even a Sansamp with no luck.

If anyone is playing that song with good results. What type of settings are you using. Thanks

My best bet seems to be using the bridge pickup only

yeah i noticed the hand position. I usually don't get any closer to the bridge on my HH than the bridge pickup otherwise it is quiter and somewhat "twangy"

His sound was probably from all the compression at the recording studio.

Oh well, still trying

not sure, but didn't their bassist play a Rickenbacker back in the day...? I always thought that it was a Rick on that tune...
