JESUS CHRIST!!!

It is impossible for me to image a bass better for Rock! I have been using MTDs with my current band. The MTDs sound great but they do not assert themselves in the mix. The SR5 slammed through without overpowering, it enhanced instead of taking away.

Why did I wait so long to get one of these?

If you'd been around here, we would have told you before.

Nice, aren't they?

I had the fabled Graperay for a while and wasn't gigging much, but when I did - wow.

And it's being gigged quite regularly these days, from what I hear - went to a good home.

Anyway, STingray 5s are fabulous.

When are you going to add a Bongo?

It is incredible that you mention that. Before the SR5, a Bongo would not have been andwhere on the list of basses that I want. I'm so pleased with the Ray after a week and a half that a Bongo is now at the top of my want-list.

I know HH setup for sure, but sooooo many colors to choose from!

very cool! and yes, the dual H Bongo will anihilate any preconceived tone you had before for a Rock setting, it's nuts :D
the Desert Gold is really great onstage aand gets noticed all the time but the Stealth look is pretty slammin' as well.
ALl the best with the new grooves!

Yes, the SR5 just has that great way of both holding the solid bottom and punching through. It's sound range is not as radical as some other basses, but all its sounds really "work".
