...Rental! ;)

Here's the story

I'm still waiting on my SR4 HH to come at about the end of july, which is all fine and good. Thing is, i've got a major, MAJOR gig coming up on friday. I'm playing in my blues band for my High School Graduating class Banquet and Dance, in front of maybe 2000 people, featuring peers of mine i see everyday at school, some of which i've known for all 12 years of my schooling, and i wouldn't be caught dead playing the bass i'm practiving with now, with broken nobs, a broken tuning peg and a sparkly 'The Punisher" sticker on it . So i started phoning around all the music stores in my area to see if they rent instruments. Tried 4 of them, and they either didnt rent or didnt have a bass i was interested in playing at a once in a lifetime gig (which at this point would pretty much be nothing other then EBMM gear). Finally, when all hope was nearly lost, low and behold, the last place i was gonna phone had this:

Got down there about 15 minutes before they closed and snatched it up for 65$ to rent for a week. Damn it sounds nice. I've never been a huge fan of sterlings but this one blew me away. I think i'll be able to play in front of 2000 people a lot easier with this beaut in my hands :D

Thanks for the congrats.

I'm really happy to be doing what i love at such an important time in life. I'm sure i can look back and think what a great experience it was to play music at this period.

Cool! Be sure to get pics of you playing that Sterling at your gig.

Shouldn't be a problem. I'm gonna have any person i know with a camera either taken pictures like a maniac or taking vids lol. There's no way hell i'm not gonna have anything to show for it. Now if i only i could have a bass solo some where in our set...;):D
