Jim Bergantino suggests Ashdown ABM amps to go with his cabs. That should tell you a little something. Of all the stuff I've tried through my Bergs(Eden,Ampeg,GK,SWR,Aguilar...the list goes on) the Ashdown is the freak'n King. Pino plays Ashdown, nuff said.

Me I love Boogie amps, cant stand GK amps, but one of the best bassists I know, who also owns a vintage (non crate) Ampeg head, swears by his GK head and gets a very good tone out of it. Me I blow them up. Never fails. I might get an 800rb again as a backup, but in the meantime, Mesa Boogie 400!
