You have to be very lucky since that was a limited run. I think you're best bet is ebay.com, mabye there are some available in the US?

Ah, OK, that explains all :) I need to have this guitar...I won't rest till I find it! Thank you!

edit: Found 4 new ones on ebay. Time to contact my friend in Dalllas and tell him that he's always been my best friend and that I miss him so much! :) Because these guys won't ship to Europe, I will have it shipped to him and then he can ship it to me...All I have to do now is figure out a way to fund it :)

You can of course call your international distributor and they'll tell you what stores in your country ordered that guitar.

International Dealers

Remember, the warranty for a guitar bought in the US is not valid outside of the US. Be aware of the customs charges and VAT - allow 25% extra, based on the total cost of the guitar PLUS the shipping.

@ DrKev

Here's an example:

SSport - MM90 - trem - piezo €3050,-

This is the price listed by the dutch distributor

Now, this guitar can be had for US $1,595.00 in the US, brand new

Even after the import duties and with the shipping, this is way lower that what I would pay in Europe. Warranty? I don't really care much for it...What can possibly go wrong with a brand new Music man guitar :)

You don't have to tell any of us here, we've all known this for years! :D

But remember...

This is the official company forum - we won't encourage anyone to circumvent the normal distribution channels that have been put in place so that buyers of new instruments have full warranty and customer service in their own country.

Besides, recommended prices are always higher than the store prices, by a significant margin. It's not just a guitar thing, it the same for many products. There is no restriction on shipping between EU member states, and prices DO vary quite a bit from country to country. And a sold guitar is always better than stock still hanging on a wall - if you can find one that's still unsold, they'll be happy to move it at a good price. As an example...

Music Man Axis Super Sport Roasted Neck - Musicman - Electric Guitars

No matter what brand of any product, anything can happen to a guitar after it leaves the factory. We see this on the forum a few times every year - somebody buys a guitar from the US, something happened to the guitar somewhere along the line, they're not happy when the guitar arrives and suddenly find they have to pay full shipping to the US and back to the dealer to get it fixed, they have no guitar for a few months and sometimes they are still not happy when the guitar is returned. It's a risk, be aware of it.

This is why so many forumites buy and sell guitars between themselves. We know who to trust, there is no warranty issues on used instruments, and prices for used instruments in near perfect condition are even better again! :D

it's THE big problem for european

waiting for find one used ....difficult when we absolutely want a specific model

if i don't make a mistake they are authorized to sell out of the US only

used guitar and brand new limited edition that were in her stock since 2years

have you looking to UK stores they have a lot of EBMM in stock and the better prices in EU

:)

you are definitly better off buying from the UK, as with the link DrKev posted, the guitar shop I use had a Roasted Super Sport for less than the Euro price you qouted and a bit cheaper than Knighton although sadly, like the above link, the guitar is sold.

I regretted not buying a roasted ASS and have looked, but not found another one in the UK (sorry that doesnt help you much).

I dont know if anyone else has spotted it, but amazon.com now has "global shipping" option, only a few MM guitars are listed under the option, but you can buy a brand new reflex, including all shipping and import fees etc (which are all built in to the price you pay) for about £600 less than a new one in the UK. There are not a huge amount of MM guitars on there now, but over the past few months I have seen a roasted JPX 7string and a roasted Albert Lee HH. May be worth keeping an eye on.

Knighton Music Centre is a great shop though, I got my roasted AL HH from them. Least you could do is drop them an e-mail. Maybe they've got some incoming. (Oh, and the price quoted on the site doesn't have to be the final price...). UK is a valid option, no taxes, fast shipping.

To the best of my knowledge, with most of the major guitar brands, any authorised dealer is in breach of their contract with the maker if they ship new instruments (or accessories) outside of their territory (unless, as Ily said, the instrument is used or new old stock no longer in production). How that amazon global shipping thing works, I simply do not know.

I know, i was gonna say in my original post that this has probably already been discussed here, and I didn't mean to break any forum rules and I apologize if I have. I just spoke to the Dutch distributor and he told me that this guitar was an old model...I didn't know this..so yeah, it's gonna be either 2nd hand or old stock...
Thanks guys for your input, if you hear of one being sold pls let me know..

UK is definitely the best European country for EBMM shopping.
I don't know why. Perhaps the French / Dutch / German distributors are perhaps a bit greedy ?

Well, look at it this way. Now our EBMM are still somewhat exclusive in Europe! Counts for something doesn't it?

The French online store prices are very competitive on strings.

Hmm, interesting, not sure at all, I think MM need to investigate that, states on the Amazon page under certain MM instruments (mainly Reflex)

"Shipping: This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S." and will allow you to add it to your cart and get through to checkout (not checked out myself) but if you try it with any MM guitars that dont have that text, you cannot even get to the checkout stage.

Dont want this to turn in to a Hijack..... Sorry OP!

Coda Music have a a really nice used Roasted Albert Lee x3 p90 version, have played that one in store and its a really nice instrument. Not sure if you are set on a Roasted, Axis Super Sport or both, but there are a few roasted MM guitars around the UK guitar shops.

Thanks for the UK dealers tips. I just saw a Sterling AX30 at Andertons music that I've been wanting for some time for £399.00. I actually ordered one of these form Musicians friend a couple of weeks ago, a used one, as they can only ship to Europe if it's 2nd hand but they cancelled my order without any explanation, even after they called me on the phone to confirm that the order has been processed. And that would be my last experience with MF, that I know :)

Off to browse the Andertons website now, seems like they have some cool stuff....
