I'd like to thank GrumpyOldMan (John) for purchasing my Silver Sparkle Axis Sport. He's had it about a week or so and after a quick chat with his today he's enjoying it very much. Glad it went to a forumite, someone who'll truly appreciate it.

I had to let the Dargie Luke go, I was sad, but when you have bills to pay, you have to do what you have to do. It's currently on its way yo France and should arrive with it's new owner very soon.

So today Brown (UPS) shows up at my house!!!! I'm very excited because I had no intentions on buying anything, but this was something that I saw and knew that I would love to own.

A short time ago a guitar was posted by a fellow forumite and my jaw dropped on the desk at work. I immediately PM'ed him to congratulate him and ask him that if he ever decided to sell it, I would be very, very interested in taking it off of his hands. He told me that another forumite had asked first, so he had first shot.

That forumite was . . . . . . . . . . . wanna guess who??

Rex Rocks!!

Ok, so Rex, hint, hint, who if you haven't had any dealing with is an awesome guy and just excellent to deal with. See Rex found this absolutely beautiful Silhouette Special in Dallas on a busniess trip. He let a mod, paw it, but that's cool with me because I know Jack!! Hahahahaha. I had been playing my Silhouette Special lately and remembering that I love that guitar. This one would make a wonderful companion for it.

Luckly for me the forumite that was first in line changed his mind and let me have my chance. I owe him huge.

I melted and this thing is even more awesome in person and like brand new. Rex your tech did an awesome job, please let him know and thanx again man, you've made my year.

I have plans for this guitar, but once some funds become available it'll happen and I'll let you all know about it and how it goes.

Glenn! That's superb! Congrats! :D I think if I had that guitar, I'd have to try to get the mirrored gold pickguard like on Blues Saraceno's AL and some golden pickup bobbins (if such things even exist). :D

thought it might have been that candy luke, but that gold silo is much better, huge congrats! now you have a Luke type guitar to replace the DD, I also prefer the silo special as far as HSS guitars go.

Rob, exactly man, we must be on the same wave length man!!!

My pleasure, Glenn. I am not a guitar player, still, apparently. I am glad to be the caretaker of EBMM guitars for others, though.

He does do a killer set-up, for sure. Brief plug for his band:

Hey wait a minute! That pic looks better than the ones Rex posted! I change my mind! :p
Good stuff Glenn.
Thanks for first dibs Rex. I really appreciate it. I just wasn't as in love with it as Glenn. :)
But Rex, next time you think you might want to be a guitar player again, please let me know! ;)

foggy I hope Colin doesnt see this thread....How could you turn that down...GOld is a liquid investment. If Glenn ever decides to sell this guitar it will take about 5 minutes....This was such a rare and fabulous find.

I know. I'm sure to regret it.
However the timing was all wrong. I have a lot a "purchases" coming my way.
Besides, I have my eyes on some other EBMM goodness.

Thanx all, this is a super guitar. Foggy man like I said before I really owe you man!!! ;)

Ernie once told me when we were out at the Open House that the Gold Sparkles were rare, because he was on the hunt for a JP in that color.

Pete man, you know me like a book. :)

Rex again, i really can't say it enough man, great guitar and this was my second dealing with you and a real pleasure.

Sterling you have anything in your personal stock or the vault in this color??
