So how does one "order" a guitar like that? Do you go to your local dealer and place an order? Is there any price advantage of going to one dealer or another?

I second what Roburado says. Just make sure they are an authorized dealer. And if you are lucky enough to have a few dealers in your area get quotes from all of them. No use paying more than you have to.

We'll be taking orders for the 2007 LE instruments(Blue Dawn and 20th SR5) until we run out of production space for the 2007 year. Which as Pete stated would currently put it at roughly June.....of course the amount of orders taken over the next couple of months will have its effect on the cutt off date as well. The JP F1 and Luke BFR's are here to stay!

Yea Conn. is far away, now me points LOL but I would rather deal with Pete, and both my guitars that I bought from him have been perfect, so Conn to Texas is OK by me, hope you like you LE

I'm so glad that the JP F1 did indeed turn out a permanent offering!

Now I've got an actual chance to score a 2007 LE Petrucci and still get a F1 someday! I think I can swing it with enough time.. but I could not have done both within the 2007 production year.

I ordered mine the beginning of Feb and its now May so thats over 3 months gone for me...i was expecting more of a 6 month wait though. I was all patient and happy to wait back in Feb/March/April but now its starting to get to me . The wait IS the hardest part

Just gotta keep tellin myself its gonna be worth it.
