Does anyone know if Ernie Ball plans on producing any Solid Color Bodies for their BFR product line? (leaning towards the JP line..)

I'm not digging the current finishes for the BFR Petrucci's..

I've seen JP play a black and neon green BFR on his live shows, but they are not currently offered ....

I'd love to see Black, Black Sapphire, or even the return of the Gunsmoke in BFR lines!

Bis, the black one was a BFR done for JP with the Black paint and gold hardware from the 2006 LE's, and the green one was a Dargie Delight finish done on a BFR for JP. Not sure if they'll offer solid finishes on the BFR's. I'm one of the people hoping that they eventually will.

Maybe they could "update", if you will, the original JP's to include the tone block but leave the scoops and contours the same and the maple neck.

I hate when everyone here tries to speak for the company. I asked a while ago about an ebony neck and was told "NO WAY JP DOESN'T PLAY EBONY" now look, we have KOA finishes with ebony necks. Never say never, especially when you have no idea what the company is doing behind their doors.

My response to that is: CHICKEN! I LOVE CHICKEN...... mmmmm I'm hungry.

IMO if they ever had solid colors I woud expect to pay less, the wood top does sooo much for that guitar. personally I am a big fan of the scoop too so I would never buy one(ok never say never, if they brought back Autumn Redrise or Midnight Blue Sparkle in only the BFR I would get one in a heartbeat)...My bet is they'll keep doing very limited ones like the Silverburst so just keep your eyes out and expect to pay alot.

You mean like this one? :D You never know, there may be some BFR JPs without fancy tops, and they wind up getting painted opaque colors. With the BFRs, anything is possible!

EXACTLY! Pops has said it himself....they will do what they want with the BFR line as the sky is the limit. However, you can only get what is offered at the present time. Who knows...maybe down the road a solid color BFR (Like the Gold Roller) will come out or some one off's for sale. It happens....just like Willie Wonka...anything can happen.

There has been some pretty amazing tops as far as bfrs go, but ya know what I'd like to see? A Mystic Dream burst. Now THAT, would truly be mystical and dreamy to me. As long as it would be in lefty, I'd buy it I'd like to say instantly, but just about instantly ;).
And yes, you never know, you have only two silverbursts, you have those really cool multicolored JPs, you have the Dargies, and its EBMM, so you know it'll look awesome and be quality.

But once again, Mystic Dream Burst.

I photoshopped that a while ago, and BP said that it was impossible because the MD paint is not capable of being transparent enough to get the same effect.

Still, I would order one immediately if it was available.

You could probably do a trans blue burst with trans purple on the outer edges. It would get you close, but not the cool color changing effect that mystic dream has.
