Some nice tops to "oooh" and "aaaah" at...

This is the guy I got my Pacfic Blue burst Axis and my Burnt Apple Petrucci from. Rest assured that when I order my next Guitar, the 20th anniv. Silo, it will be thru him.

PS and FYI:
According to the dictionary, the plural of Axis is Axes. I love the irony.
 
I saw them earlier today...a tad pricey in my opinion. But, who am I to say? They have some nice quilts in there that is for sure....:D

Had a feeling I mighta gotten that pluralization incorrect, but I guess the combo of that awe-inspiring PBB and that tobacco burst just had me all kinda bamboozled to the point of not really caring... ;)

Now that I stand corrected, a suggestion: how's about we extend this post's life by adding pix of some of the more jaw-dropping EBMM flames/quilts we find? Doesn't necessarily have to be our own instruments, just lotsa uploads and links of the nicer ones we run across out there.

Won't just be eye candy, but might be helpful for those who want to see what a nice top is about. For instance, I have a PRS that's got a fantastic cap, and it's not even a "real 10 top" - would be interesting to see what people pay extra for vs. those that haven't.
 
I love the pacific blue burst. Most beautiful color in the world. I just sold an axis super sport in that color. Hated to do it, it was so nice but just decided I did not like the P-90 sound.

I just asked my wife if I could get the pacific blue Axis SS but I was shot down pretty damn quick....MAN....I love that top and pick-up configuration. Jimi or TV will get that one....lucky cracker heads...:mad:
 
I was hoping for the quilt when I got my PBB Axis SS, but I got mine for less with piezo, tremolo, and matching headstock. Therefore, I can't complain. PBB and Blue Dawn are my two favorite colors.
