Whow! That sounds really good. No kidding. I'd buy that. That kinda thing sounds so good live. Congrats and good luck to you. Tokyo must be a blast! Makes me think of that movie "Lost in Translation" and feeling so dislocated.

Peace bro!

Ohiyo! ....and konbanwa to you as well....it just so happens to be a good evening, thank you.

I used my Bongo 4-string HH for both, tuned down to a rediculous C-G-C-F for Colour Blind. I had to raise the action quite a bit for that one...... blame it on the guitarists who "just have to" tune their guitars down! For Conan I was in regular tuning in order to get the right notes for the chiming.

Most of the recording was done direct into a Yamaha AWG16. For the bass I ran it through my Bass POD, Sans AmpDI, then to the recorder.

The drummer is using the latest and greatest from Roland; the TD20S V-Pro. It still has a "drum machine" sort of sound, but it's really nice for recording.....so convenient.

We recorded the vocals in my buddy's laundry room....HA!

Awesome sound! What is the time sig. for "Colour Blind"? 6/8 to 4/4? I could only get 1:29 worth of it to listen to. I really like it when a song keeps changing like that. All of you definitely have great chops and the recording is top knotch. Let us know when you have a CD available. I'll buy one.

Thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate it.

Yeah, the drummer makes me sick dude. He's the best drumer I've played with, hands down. Historically I've not really been into playing this sort of style, but knew I was always open to new things. These boys are real creative. I just sit back and let them write then lay in the bass lines later.

Colour Blind's time sig:

Most of it is 6/8 except for the verses which go: 6/8 6/8 2/4 6/8 6/8 3/4 then repeats that progression.

CD is due out in about 2-3 months (we are still laying down fresh material).

Thanks for listening......

Switching between the 6/8 6/8 2/4 and the 6/8 6/8 3/4 was what was throwing me. I think if I had been listening to it at home where I could concentrate I would have figured it out.

Thanks,
Larry
