There are a few routes that he can take:

1) Spray the hair back on David Lee Roth style.

2) Shave it bald.

3) Go for the mad scientist/Devin Townsend look.

4) Wear a wig/weave.

The last three I wouldn't mind too much. It would take some getting used to looking at JL with a bald head, though..
