ok, I've never played an instrument with a piezo pickup. I am familiar with the sound of the Sterling, the 'Ray, the SR5 etc with single H and other pickup combos, but I have no experience with a piezo.

What does the piezo bring to the table when added to a single H Sterling or Stingray?

Any help appreciated :)

Sounds "sticky" to me
and percussive . .
and woody . .

My fretless/piezo Ray had a lot more output than my H, HH, HS, 2eq/3eqs
IT was very cool, it's a must on a fretless 4me now, I would not buy another
fretless w/o it

Even if I get another fretted Ray, I def want it as an option

When blended in with the mags, the piezo adds a percussive "thump" to the bottom and a "presence" to the top.

Piezo is a must have option for me... Absolutely love it!
