Hello,

I recently fulfilled a dream of mine by purchasing a vintage Music Man bass in Australia from a shop specializing in rare and vintage instruments. The specific model is a 1997 Ernie Ball Music Man EX Stingray (USA / Japan, Natural).

I'd like to know if it's possible to obtain a Certificate of Authenticity for this bass directly from Ernie Ball. I have the original sales receipt from the store.

Thank you for your help.

Ernie Ball really only issues certificates of authenticity for special limited runs. Regular instruments don't come with them, and the EX series is also definitely a bit different. I don't think EBMM has any records of their serial numbers and such that would even make a COA possible.
