I'm sending it to my tech today, but I just gotta see what the general consensus here is regarding this problem... Especially from Beej...

It was working fine yesterday. Everything was ok. Mag pups, piezo, all the knobs and switches were fine, and the 2 outputs were ok...

Suddenly, after unplugging it once, for my 2 year old nephew to twiddle the toggle switches, I plugged it back in to play, and I now have NO magnetic pup output!!! I have piezo output, but no mag output whatsoever... On the stereo jack, the pizo is working, but once I swithc to the mag side, there's no sound. The middle/mix position only gives the piezo output. And the mad jack is silent...

I checked all the wirings, and they were intact... I'm stumped man... What could have happenned?

Weird. Ya, doesn't sound too bad ... could be a wire is loose from your mag volume pot to the jack assembly. But could be the mag volume pot, the output jack itself, etc. I'd take the p/g off and start testing the conductivity to see where you lose the signal.

Yeah... It's with my tech now... I suspect it's a loose connection somewhere. I doubt it's a faulty switch, or else the Piezo wouldn't work either... Oh well... I'll let him troubleshoot it...

Arent the pickups and piezo on two seperate inputs and circuits?

Yes they are, but they're wired to the same circuit board. My Tech looked at it, checked the switches, checked the jacks, and they're fine... Now he's got to delve into the circuit board...:(

this shouldnt be that hard....

I know... It's just a matter of time before the fault is traced... But it's just funny how come something like this could happen... a few twiddles from a 2 year old and voila!!! Apparently he ruined a torchlight as well today! I think I'm gonna lock up the rest of my guitars now...:D

I plugged my JP7 in the other day and had the exact same problem... Output from the piezo but nothing from the passive pickups. I unplugged the cable from the output jack and plugged it back in and everything was fine.
