Very cool. I'm currently waiting for a tracking number for something that should be out for delivery in a couple of days....

The Blue Bomber showed up at my door yesterday but I had not had a chance to visit the forum until now.

A few things:

1.The single H bongo is a slap monster.

2.I doubted all the hype around here until I had the chance to play a few licks on the bomber yesterday. Wow! Pearl Blue is a great Bongo Color.

3.My HHp Bongo isn't going anywhere.

It's almost like comparing apples to ora... ummm blueberries. Sure they are both Bongos but each has it's own attitude. The HH has it's massive deep sound and the single H cuts more like a Ray. I would say the HH is more versatile but the sound the single H puts out can only be described as BAD ASS.

When my band finally gets in the studio to record our album next year(*cough* Eddie Kramer) you're gonna hear Bongo(HH,H, Hsc and fretless) all over it.

It's raining out today, but I'll get some group shots up sometime during the weekend.:D

The longer you play the single H Bongo the more it makes ya smile. :)

Stick it under some loud guitars and oh boy.

Andrew,

Glad everything got there OK and glad you likey. You are very right, there really is no comparison between the different Bongo p/u configs. They all do their own thing. I just happen to like what the single H does for me.

I meant to call last night but couldn't find your number. Stanky supplied me with it so I will try calling tonight.

He didn't mention it to me.

The 5'ers come stock with regular5's which have the same EADG as the Super4's. I did notice Ringo seems tonally darker than the Bomber. I attribute it to the regular4's I slapped on Ringo since the bomber has more mass and therefore you'd expect the opposite. In other words, I don't know what the hell I'm trying to say.
